Future Sounds: Music Matters event- 03/09/24
Our community is stronger with access to music
On Tuesday 3rd September, over 70 people came to The Palace Theatre in Paignton for the Sound Futures Takeover event: Music Matters, and what a class event it was!
Music Matters was created, planned, delivered, and captured entirely by Young People on the Sound Futures Course, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The performances were wide-ranging in style and the event ran as smoothly as it possibly could have, thanks to the effort and attention to detail of the young people.
The group got involved with Sound Futures back in July because they are not in Education, Employment, or Training – and by playing to their strengths, acting true to their values, and by bringing the community together they have shone a spotlight on how much joy and impact they can bring to Torbay. A massive thank you to all that came, to Stage Left for hosting us, to the performers, and of course, to the Sound Futures Team that brought it all to life!
