Saturday Xtras

We are super excited to announce that Hyde Rd Studios are OPENING UP on Saturdays from 17 June onwards for you to use! Book yourself in for a free 1-2 hour studio session any time, between 10-4pm every Saturday* and use the amazing combined expertise of our team to help you with all or any aspect of your music-making: rapping, singing, lyric writing, performance, beat-making, recording, post production, socials, tech know-how – whatever support you need to take your music to the next level. (*term time only)

This brand new Saturday Xtras project is funded by The National Lottery’s Reaching Communities fund.

Who: 16-22 yr olds

What: Free studio time with support and engineers if required, for all budding and keen singer/song-writers, musicians and rappers!

When: 10-4pm on Saturdays [term time only]

Where: 52a Hyde Rd Studios, Hyde Rd, Paignton, TQ4 5BY

FAQs

Can I drop in on the day without booking?

No – you must book in first via our booking system here

What’s the longest time-slot I can book in for?

1.5 hours at the moment, but longer if there’s capacity on the day

Do I need to bring any equipment?

No, unless you want to bring your own instrument (other than guitar, keyboard or drum kit, which we have), we have all the production equipment on site.

Do I need any experience?

No – our staff can support you at whatever stage you’re at

Can I bring a friend?

As a rule, these are solo booking slots so we expect you to come unaccompanied. However, if you would like to come with a friend/s or a family member, please email charlie@soundcommunities.co.uk to arrange this in advance.

Can I release my track once it’s are done?

Yes, you’ll be able to upload your track to the Sound Communities YouTube or create your own Spotify Playlist.
